Bobcats Fall To Lions In KSAC Boys Basketball Matchup

The visiting Clarion Bobcats fell to the Clarion-Limestone Lions 50-42, in Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference Boys Basketball action on Tuesday (January 31st).

The Lions opened with a 13-12 lead after one period and with a 12-9 edge in the second, they led 25-17 at the half. The Bobcats had a 14-5 advantage in the third, to lead by one, 31-30 heading to the final stanza. But C-L outscored Clarion 20-11 in the fourth to set the final.

Gabe Simko led the Bobcats with 13 points followed by Dawson Smail, who had 10 points, including 2 three-pointers.

Bryce Brinkley scored nine points, including a pair of treys. Devon Lauer chipped in with 8 points, one bucket from long range and Derek Smail contributed two points.

Jase Ferguson led the Lions with 16 points including three buckets from behind the arc. Jordan Hedson also had double-figures, with 14 including one three-pointer.

The Bobcats are scheduled to travel to DuBois Central Catholic on Monday (February 6th).
