Clarion Area Bobcat Golfers Have Good Showing In Great Lakes Junior Golf Tour

Several Clarion Area Bobcat Golfers, Kameron Kerle, McKayla Kerle (who is now a member of the Pennwest University – Clarion team), Devon Lauer, Lucas Mitrosky and James Keenen, participated in the Great Lakes Junior Golf Tour again this summer. All of the Clarion Area golfers competed in the 16-19 age division.

The tournament, which is held at various Northwest Pennsylvania golf courses, particularly near Lake Erie, included golfers from schools and programs of different sizes.

Clarion Area Assistant Coach Jackie Kerle summarized the Bobcats’ play in the tour, “Several players from our team were regulars at the Great Lakes Tournaments over the summer, Kameron, Devon , Lucas, McKayla and James played in the majority of the tournaments.

“All of the above players mentioned, with the exception of James qualified for the tour championship. In order to qualify, you had to finish the season ranked in the Top 10.

“McKayla (Girls 16-19) and Kameron (Boys 16-19) both won the regular season championship.”
