Coach Schonbachler Shares Summary On Clarion Area Girls Soccer Team’s Season Thus Far

The Clarion Area Lady Bobcat soccer team has had a solid start to the 2023 season.  After this past Saturday’s 9-1 win over Oil City, the team’s overall record improved to 4-3. 

In UAVSL league play, the record is 2-2, with a 1 goal loss to Brockway and a 1 goal overtime loss to Redbank Valley. 

Alexis Coull is off to a flying start offensively, with 16 goals (4 hat tricks) and 5 assists through the first 7 games.  Alex Leadbetter has had a strong start as well, with 7 goals and 5 assists. 

Julianna Wilson notched her 3rd goal of the season on Saturday along with Janiya Jones and Ava Raymond soring their first ever Lady Bobcat goals.

Mercedes Cunningham has steadily improved in her 2nd season as the Lady Bobcat goalkeeper along with the center back duo of Katera Sebastian-Sims and Kaitlyn Guth. 

The team next game is Tuesday (September 19th) evening when they host Brookville at Clarion-Limestone stadium. 

The schedule gets more difficult as September comes to a close, seeing the team play 4 games over a span of 6 days.
