Bobcats Down Wolves In KSAC Volleyball Action

The Clarion Area Bobcats downed the visiting North Clarion Wolves 3-0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-19) Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference (KSAC) Volleyball action, on Thursday, October 5th. The Bobcat Junior Varsity also won their match in straight sets 2-0 (25-11, 25-7). Between matches the Bobcats and Wolves joined together for the Dig Pink Cancer Awareness and Fundraiser event, which will be covered in a separate article.

Varsity Match

Addiwyn Campbell and Alicyn Burford both had a big match. Addiwyn delivered 19 assists, 8 service points (2 aces), 4 kills and a dig. Alicyn scored 11 points (2 aces) to go along with 7 kills and two digs.

Anna O’Toole and Marley Kline also came through in a big way, with Anna registering 7 points (3aces), 8 digs and a kill, and Marley recording 6 points (2 aces) 6 kills and five digs. Sophie Babington contributed 5 points (1 ace) a kill and two assists.

Taylor Alston had 3 points, 3 kills and six digs. Rhiannon Copenhaver scored 2 points (1 ace). natalie Durish delivered 5 digs and an assist, Alivia Diehl had a pair of kills, and Kelsey Best scored a point.

Junior Varsity Match

Lacey Lauer had a big match, with 11 service points (4 aces) a kill and three digs. Brinley Kiskadden scored 8 service points (3 aces). Addiwyn Campbell scored 7 points (1 ace) and had a kill and five digs.

ARhiannon Copenhaver registered 5 points (3 aces), a kill and a pair of digs. Kelsey Best scored 4 point and had two digs. Madison Schill contributed 3 points (1 ace). Lauren Brinkley had an ace and a kill and Aubrey Leonard delivered 6 kills and a dig.

The Bobcats are set to travel to Karns City on Tuesday (October 10th).
