Bobcat Girls Down Lions In Overtime, In KSAC Basketball Matchup At C-L

The visiting Clarion Area Bobcats downed the Clarion-Limestone Lions 43-32 in overtime, in a Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference basketball encounter, on Friday, December 23rd.

C-L held a 10-8 lead after one, but Clarion came back with a 9-4 edge in the second to hold a 19-14 halftime lead. An 11-2 C-L advantage in the third, had the Lions up 25-21 after three. The Bobcats outscored the Lions 10-6 in the fourth, sending the game to overtime knotted 31-all, where a 12-1 Clarion edge set the final.

Taylor Alston led the Bobcats with 19 points, including 7-10 free-throws and going 4-6 in overtime. She also had 15 rebounds.

Gia Babington scored seven points. Sophie Babington and Alivial Diehl each had five.

Erika led the Lions with 8 points.

The Lions won the Junior Varsity game 22-4.

Lacey Lauer scored all of Clarion’s points.

Audrey Aaron and Casey Love led Clarion with eleven points each.

The Bobcats are scheduled to travel to Emporium, to face Cameron County at 1:00 p.m. next Thursday (December 28th).
