Boys Basketball: Bobcats Down Wolves

The Clarion Area boys basketball team traveled to North Clarion on Friday (December 9th), and came away with a 79-36 win.

The Bobcats led 27-14 after one period. A 29-11 edge in the second, had them leading 56-25 at halftime. With a 14-2 edge in the third, Clarion led 70-27 heading to the final stanza, where both teams scored 9 points to set the final.

Devon Lauer led the Bobcats, who had thirteen players score, with twelve points. Bryce Brinkley followed with 9 points.

Four Bobcats chipped in with eight, Dawson Smail, Dauntae Girvan, Tanner Miller and Gabe Simko. Owen Krieble had seven points.

Nathan Frederick and Mason Burford had 4 points apiece. Trevyn Hooks, Aiden Weber and Kameron Merkle each had 3 points and Derek Smail contributed two points.

Ethan Carll led the Wolves with a game-high 17 points and Hudson Irwin followed with eight points.

The Bobcats are scheduled to host Union on Tuesday (December 12th).
