Bobcat Girls Down Visiting Forest Area In KSAC Basketball Action

The homestanding Clarion Area Bobcat girls downed the Forest Area Fires 59-18, in Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference basketball action on Wednesday (January 3rd).

The Bobcats led 17-4 after one, 32-8 at the half and 48-15 after three.

Four Bobcats registered double figures, led by Marley Kline’s twelve points. Lacey Lauer, Taylor Alston and Sophie Babington each had 11 points, with Lauer collecting 3 treys and Babington two.

Alivia Diehl scored 11 points and Gia Babington contributed two.

Amber Guzzi had eight points to lead Forest Area.

The Bobcats also won the Junior Varsity game, prevailing 22-8.

Clarion led 9-4 after the first quarter, 14-4 at the half and 17-4 after the third.

Lacey Lauer led Clarion with twenty points, while Lilli Shirey contributed two points.

Peighton Trout led the Fires with three points, with Alana Wagner scoring the other point.

Clarion is set to travel to North Clarion on Tuesday (January 9th).
