Bobcat Boys Down Forest Area In KSAC Basketball Action

The Clarion Area Bobcats downed the homestanding Forest Area Fires 76-22 at East Forest, in Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference Boys Action, on Tuesday (January 2nd).

The Bobcats led 19-7 after the first period, 38-13 at the half and 55-17 after three.

Devon Lauer led the Bobcats with 18 points, with Owen Kriebel scoring 10 and Nathan Frederick following with nine. Lauer and Kriebel each had a pair of treys, with Frederick knocking down one.

Three Clarion players contributed eight points, Gabe Simko, Dawson Smail and Mason Burford. Bryce Brinkley had 5 points including a three-pointer. Jameson McIlwain scored three points. Dauntae Girvan, Quinn O’Neil and Tanner Miller each had 2 points and Kam Merrell added a free-throw.

Mitch Bawden led the Fires with 8 points and Colton Kuntz added five. Both had a three-point bucket.

The Bobcats will host A-C Valley on Thursday (January 4th).
