Boys Basketball: Bobcats Down Falcons

The homestanding Clarion Area Bobcats downed the A-C Valley Falcons 62-26, in Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference (KSAC) basketball, on Thursday (January 4th).

The Cats led 16-10 after one period and 41-18 at the half. A 14-5 Clarion edge in the third, had the Bobcats up 55-23, headed to the final stanza. The Bobcats’ 7-3 advantage in the frame set the final.

Three Bobcats scored in double-figures. Bryce Brinkley had a game-high twelve points, including a 3-point basket. Kam Merrell added 11 points, which included three treys, while Nathan Frederick had 10 points, with two long range buckets.

Devon Lauer and Owen Kriebel had 6 points each. Kriebel had two treys.

Gabe Simko and Dawson Smail each scored five points, while Dauntae Girvan, Derek Smail and Mason Burford each contributed two points.

Jay Clover led A-C Valley with 14 points and Brody Dittman followed with seven.

The 8-3 (4-0 KSAC) Bobcats are scheduled to travel to North Clarion next Wednesday (January 10th).
