Bobcat Boys Down Cranberry On Senior Night, Seniors And Parents Honored Prior To Game

The Clarion Area Bobcats downed the visiting Cranberry Berries 74-33, on Senior Night, in Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference boys basketball action, on Wednesday (February 7th).
Prior to the game, the the Booster Club honored the Bobcat seniors and their parents.
The seniors include:Tanner Miller, son of Rick and Tricia Miller; Bryce Brinkley, son of Jason and Stephanie Brinkley; Dawson Smail, son of David and Jami Smail, Devon Lauer, son of D.J. and Bev Lauer; Dauntae Girvan, son of Nathan and Tracy Girvan; Gabe Simko, son of Eric and November Simko; Kameron Merrell, son of Aaron and Jamie Merrell; Owen Kriebel, son of Shane and Anna Kriebel; and Jameson McIlwain, son of Brian and Trish McIlwain.
The players received gifts in nicely decorated gift bags and Orange and White balloons, while there mothers received flowers.
Game details
The Cats led after every period, 20-10 after one, 40-21 at the half and 57-29 after three, in their 74-33 victory.
All nine seniors had a hand in the scoring.
Dawson Smail and Devon Lauer led the way sixteen points each. Dawson had one bucket from beyond the arc. Owen Kriebel followed with 9 points, Gabe Simko had 8 and Dauntae Girvan recorded six points.
Bryce Brinkley scored 5 points, Tanner Miller registered 4 points, Jameson McIlwain hit on a trey for his 3 points, with Kameron Merrill scoring two points.
Derek Smail was the only non-senior to hit the scoring column, contributing five points.
Ethan Merryman led the Berries with eleven points, including a bucket from long range.
