Three Wildcats Medal In District Nine Junior High Class-AA Wrestling Tournament

Three Central Clarion Wildcats medaled in the District Nine Junior High Class-AA Wrestling Championships at Brockway on Saturday, February 17th. This was the Wildcats last scheduled tournament for the season.

Placing for the Wildcats were Nathaniel McDonnell, Demetrius Peace and Owen Bohlander.

Nathan finished second in the 87 pound class. He had a minor decision win.

Demetrius Peace (on left) 4nd Place at 170 pounds

Demetrius finished fourth at 170 pounds. He had a win via pin.

Owen claimed fourth place at 190 pounds, registering two pins along the way.

Other Wildcats who competed were: Cooper Macormac (80 pounds); with one win by minor decision; Ben Naser (155 pounds), with one minor decision win; Tate Allison (122 pounds), with a win by fall and another by minor decision; and Dylan Albertine (210 pounds, with one win by pin.

Central Clarion Junior High Head Coach had this to say about the three medalists, “I want to extend my sincere congratulations to Nathaniel McDonnell for his outstanding 2nd-place finish and to Demetrius Peace and Owen Bohlander for their impressive 4th-place finishes in the D9 Jr High AA Tournament. Your hard work and determination have truly paid off.

And about the whole team’s effort, “I also want to commend each member of the team, including those who didn’t place. Your dedication and growth throughout the season have been remarkable, and I’m proud of the effort you’ve all put forth on the mat.”
