Bobcats Down Gators In D9 2A Volleyball Quarterfinal Matchup; Hadlee Campbell Records 500th Kill

The homestanding Clarion Area Bobcats downed the Port Allegany Gators in straight sets (25-18, 25-16, 25-15) in their District Nine Class-2A Volleyball Championships quarterfinal encounter on Thursday, October 24th.
Hadlee Campbell recorded her 500th career kill during the contest, while turning in some fine numbers for the Bobcats. She had 15 kills, 9 service points (2 aces) and six digs.

Natalie Durish also also registered nine service points (2 aces) for Clarion, while delivering 7 digs and an assist. Addiwyn Campbell dished out 34 assists and scored 6 points on serve (3 aces), to go along with 4 kills and a pair of digs. Sophie Babington also had 6 service points, (1 ace), and delivered 3 kills and four digs.

Marley Kline contributed 9 kills, 8 digs, an assist and five points on serve. Anna O’Toole scored 5 service points (1 ace) and had a pair of digs.
Ali Burford and Alivia Diehl knocked down 6 and 7 kills respectively. Lacey Lauer delivered on an ace from the service line and two digs.
The third seeded Bobcats will travel to Elk County Catholic, to face the second seeded Crusaders on Tuesday, October 29th, at 6:30 p.m. The Crusaders downed DuBois Central Catholic in their quarterfinal match.
