The Central Clarion Wildcats Cross Country Team had their Senior Recognition Night, on Wednesday, October 2nd, as they hosted Keystone and Moniteau at Clarion-Limestone.

Wildcats Head Coach Nicole Oakes shared this summary of the evening’s big event:

After the Junior High race, the five Wildcat seniors, who all happened to be Clarion-Limestone students this year, lined up with their parents for the Senior Night Festivities.

As each senior walked to the middle of the field, Tiffany Jackson emceed, reading off future plans, little known facts about the athletes and a note of thanks that each athlete writes. Most of the athletes thanked their parents for the support over the years, and some thanked the coaches for believing in them.

Mid field kids were met with gift bags that included a plaque made by our Lion Manufacturing group made up of students here at C-L, engraved with their name and our XC symbol, and included one of their senior photos from ProPoint Media. Additionally, they got a goodie bag of snack items.

The entire evening and gift bags were organized by a few of our under classman cross country parents.

Missy Rankin, Tiffany and her committee also reached out to visiting schools Moniteau and Keystone to get the names of their seniors to also be recognized, and provided them with a little treat bag as well.

Cross country parent, Christie Datko, took the event photos and also made cupcakes for the celebration.

A lot of other parents also helped organize and help make the senior night a success.

(Congratulations Wildcat Seniors and all who made this very a very special night!!!! Thanks to Christie Datko for her photos!!)
