Wreaths Across America Distribution Procession Coming Next Wednesday (December 11th); Ceremony And Wreath Placement Take Place On Saturday (December 14th)

The 2024 Wreaths Across America, Wreath Delivery Procession will take place next Wednesday (December 11th). If you would like to join the Processional Parade, with Chuck Andrews delivering the wreaths with his semi, escorted along the way Police and Fire Department Escort, they will meet at the CB Shop at the Strattanville Exit at 8:00 AM and then proceed to Clarion-Limestone for a Meet and Greet at 8:30.

The Procession will proceed to the to Immaculate Conception Parish and School, where students, staff and anyone else can greet Chuck and his pooch and traveling partner, Lucy and special passenger local Vietnam Veteran, Buddy Howe, who is very active in the Clarion American Legion as an Honor Guard.

The Procession will then go to Clarion High School at approximately 11:00 AM, where students and staff will greet Chuck, Buddy and Lucy.

The final stop in Clarion will be at the Clarion and Immaculate Conception Cemeteries on South Second Avenue, approximately at Noon, where the wreaths for the two cemeteries will be unloaded.

Volunteers are encouraged to show up at the cemeteries to help with the unloading.

The Clarion Wreaths Across America Ceremony and Wreath Placing will take place on Saturday, December 14th, promptly at Noon.

Clarion County Wreaths Across America Coordinator, Noreen Shirey shared, “This year we are short about 300 wreaths at this point. This is so available as a fundraiser if anyone is interested. Please reach out to me with questions. The mission of Wreaths Across America is “Remember the Fallen, Honor those who serve and Teach the next generation, so bring your kids or grandkids. I look forward to this December!

Chuck, is already in Maine and will join in the procession leaving Maine that goes to Arlington and then branch off to come through Pennsylvania.”
