YDL Sports Network/D9and10Sports Announces 2024 District Nine Football All-Stars, Number Of Wildcats Selected; Several Garner Major Awards

YDL Sports Network/D9and10Sports announced their 2024 District Nine Football All-Stars on Monday, December 23rd, with a host of Central Clarion Wildcats being selected and several receiving Major Awards.
Receiving Major Awards for the Wildcats were, Jase Ferguson, Jimmy Kerr, Hayden Hindman, Head Coach Davey Eggleton and Assistant Coach Doug Knepp.
Jase won four Major Awards. He was named Player of the Year for the second year in a row. Jase was named Co-Offensive Player of the Year along with Port Allegheny Running Back Aiden Bliss. He won the award outright in 2022.
Jase was named Defensive Player of the Year, marking the third straight year a player from Central Clarion received that award. Linebacker, Braylon Beckwith won in 2022 and Linebacker Ryan Hummell took thee honor in 2022.
Jase also won the Individual Performance of the Year for his play in Central Clarion’s PIAA State Championship Semifinal game against South Park at Farrell, On Friday, November 29th.
He was named to the First Team at both Quarterback and Defensive Back.
Jimmy was named Co-Offensive Lineman of the Year along with Port Allegany’s Carson Neely.

This was Jimmy’s second year in a row to win the award, having won it outright in 2023.
Jimmy was named to the First Team as an Offensive Lineman.
Hayden Hindman was named Defensive Lineman of the Year.

Hayden was named to the First Team as both an Offensive Lineman and Defensive Lineman.
Thomas Uckert was named Special Teams Player of the Year.
Thomas was named to the Special Teams First Team as the Place Kicker.

Coach Eggleton was named Co-Coach of the Year along with Port Allegany Head Coach, Justin Gienkowski.
Coach Knepp, who coaches the Wildcats’ Offensive and Defensive Lines, as well as Special Teams, was named Assistant Coach of the Year.
Other Wildcats being selected to the YDL Sports Network/D9and10Sports All-Stars include Offensive First Teamers, Mason Burford at Wide Receiver and Ethan Rex as All Purpose Back, as well as Defensive Second Teamers, Linebackers, Charlie Hepfl and Braylon Beckwith and Defensive Back Jesse Siewicki.
Rookie of the Year went to freshman quarterback Brennan Fillhart from Port Allegany.
The Game of the Year was DuBois’ 46-43 win at Karns City on Friday, September 13th.
The Unsung Hero Award went to Gator Network – the Port Allegany School District streaming service.
