Girls Basketball: Bobcats Fall To Gremlins
The Clarion Area Bobcats dropped a 62-43 decision to the visiting Karns City Gremlins, in a Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference clash on Friday (January 17th).
Karns City held an 18-14 after one and had a 12-10 second quarter edge, taking a 30-24 lead into halftime. The Gremlins had a 14-11 third quarter advantage, sending the game to the final stanza leading 44-35. An 18-8 Karns City edge in the fourth set the final.
Bobcats Sophie Babington and Lacey Lauer each scored in double-figures, with 12 and ten respectively as both had a pair of treys.
Marley Kline scored 8 points, Natalie Durish 7 points and Lilly Shirey had six.
Hanna Dailey had 15 point, Savannah Prescott 13 points and Naomi Vesneski ten points for the Gremlins.
The Bobcats are scheduled to host Moniteau on Tuesday (January 21st).
