Girls Basketball: Bobcats Fall To Wolves
The Clarion Area Bobcats fell to the visiting North Clarion Wolves 51-42 in KSAC girls basketball action, on Wednesday, January 15th.
North Clarion held a 13-12 advantage after one and a 26-22 halftime lead. Clarion outscored the Wolves 12-9 in the third sending the teams to the final stanza, with North Clarion up by just one, 35-34. A 16-8 fourth quarter edge by the Wolves set the final.
Marley Kline led the Bobcats with 14 points including a trey. Lacey Lauer canned four from long range for all of her twelve points. Also scoring in double figures was Aliviah Diehl with ten.
Sophie Babington and Natalie Durish each scored 3 points, with Durish’s points coming on a trey.
Brooke Steinman and Ainsley Hartle led the Wolves with 17 and 16 points respectively. Hartle had three 3-point baskets.
The Bobcats are set to host Karns City on Friday (January, 17th).
