Bobcats Boys Basketball Season Comes To An End Loss In PIAA Second Round
The Clarion Area Boys Basketball team had their season come to an end, with a 65-37 loss to the Northgate Flames, in the PIAA State second round matchup at Freeport on Wednesday, March 12th.
The Flames led 11-8 after one and 27-18 at the half. A one-point 14-13 Northgate edge in the third, sent the game to the final stanza with the Flames up 41-31. A 24-6 Northgate advantage in the fourth set the final.
Dylan Smail led the Bobcats with ten points.
Derek Smail and Mason Burford had 9 points apiece, with Nate Frederick contributing seven points. Wyatt Watterson had two points.
Dylan Smail, Burford and Frederick each had a three-point basket.
Ty Daniles led Northgate with twenty-five points.
The Bobcats finished their season with a 20-8 record.
