Former Clarion-Limestone Standout Morgan McNaughton And St. Francis Relay Teammates Earn DI All-East Honors At ECAC Indoor Track Championships

Former Clarion-Limestone Lions standout Morgan McNaughton had a great weekend at the NCAA Division I IC4A/ECAC Indoor Track And Field Championships, held on Saturday, May 3rd and Sunday, May 4th at Boston University’s Track and Tennis Center.

Morgan and her Distance Medley Relay teammates, Sarah Coleman, Emma Fleck and Nina Connors finished fourth with a time of 12:13.41, earning All-East Team Honors. Their time is the fifth-best in the event in Saint Francis history.

Morgan also finished with a with a personal best in the mile, being clocked at 5:06.23. The mark places Morgan at ninth All-Time, in the event for the Red Flash.

The Red Flash Women’s Team placed seventeenth out of a field of thirty-one teams, while the Men’s Team placed eighteenth, out of a field of twenty-seven teams. (Women’s team champion was Towson and Men’s champion was Rhode Island.)

Twelve St. Francis athletes (Men and Women combined) earned All-East honors by finishing in the Top-8.

Carly Sedun: fourth place – weight throw (16.69 meters/54′ 9.25″)

Tesslyn Helms: fourth place – 3,000 meter run (10:07.64)

Mariclare Anderson: 800 meter run (10:07.64)

Anna Quackenbush: eighth place – 5,000 meter run (17:31.38)

All-IC4A/ECAC Saint Francis Men’s performances include:

Vincent Franco: sixth place – weight throw (16.31 meters/56′ 2.5″)

Dylan Andrews: seventh place – pole vault (4.40 meters/14′ 5.25″)

Joseph Sevison: eighth place – weight throw (16.26 meters/53′ 4.25″)

Tyler Craft: eighth place – weight throw (13.77 meters/45′ 2.25″)
