Softball: Central Clarion Downs Visiting Johnsonburg On Senior Day

The Central Clarion Wildcats Softball team had a big Senior Night game, downing the Johnsonburg Rams 15-4, in five innings, at Clarion-Limestone on Thursday (April 24th).

The Wildcats held Johnsonburg scoreless in the first two innings, while scoring one in the first and seven in the second, for an 8-0 lead. The Rams scored all their runs in the third, cutting Central Clarion’s lead to 8-4. With one Wildcat run in the fourth and six runs in the fifth, the game was ended by Mercy Rule.

Ashlyn Clark had a big game at the plate for the Wildcats, with a single, triple and home run, while driving in 3 runs and scoring three times. Jenna Dunn had two hits, including a double, 4 RBIs and two runs scored. JJ Wilson singled and doubled, scored twice and drove in a run.

Emileigh Mahle singled, scored 2 runs and drove in three. Elizabeth singled and scored a run. Brinley Kiskadden and Karlee Mahle each scored twice. Alicyn Burford drove in a run and scored a run. Samantha Simpson had an RBI.

Dunn pitched the full five innings, with five strikeouts.

The Wildcats are scheduled to host DuBois Central Catholic, next Wednesday (April 30th) beginning at 4:15 p.m.
