Wildcat Thinclads Sweep Bulldogs

The Central Clarion Wildcats track and field teams swept the visiting Redbank Valley Bulldogs, on Thursday, April 10th, with the Wildcat girls winning their meet 92-53 and the boys winning 103-42.

GIRLS’ MEET

Eliza Datko captured three individual events, the 1600 (5:33.4), the 800 (2:40.2) and the 3200 (12:31.8) Kaitlyn Guth and Livia McGinley each won two individual events. Guth took the 110 hurdles (16.71) and 300 hurdles (51.0) and McGinley won the 100 (14.1) and 200 (29.90).

Adison Jackson was victorious in the 400 (1:06.7), Julianna Schwabenbauer captured the high jump (4′-4″), Brenna Armstrong won the shot put (33′-5.5″) and Bella Anthony won the javelin (63′-8″).

The Wildcats 3200 relay (12:24.7). consisting of Schwabenbauer, Jackson, Dana Coulson and Datko finished first, as did the 400 relay (5:52.2) which included McGinley, Guth, Sophie Babington, Jackson and Guth.

Boys Meet

Mason Burford and Jonas Wilshire were both double-event individual winners. Burford won the 110 hurdles (15.2) and the 200 (23.50), while Wilshire won the 1600 (4:52.4) and the 3200(10:56.2).

Mason Burford – 110 hurdles (15.2), Wyatt Boyden – 400 (53.7), Jackson Megnin – 300 hurdles (45.10), Mason Gourley – 800 (2:09.3), Jack Monnoyer – high jump (5′-2″), Jason Megnin – triple jump (37′-5″), Isaac Lerch – long jump (18′-7.5″) and Hayden Hindman – shot put (38′-4.75″).

The Wildcats won the 3200 relay (9:11.8). The team consisted of Chris Kim, Drake Edmonds, Josh Turner and Gourley.
