Former Clarion Area Bobcat Standout Jordy Best Named To CSC All-District 3 Softball Team For PennWest Clarion Golden Eagles

The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2025 All-District Academic Teams on Tuesday, May 27th. with former Clarion Area Bobcat standout Jordy Best, a two-time Pennsylvania High School Softball Coaches Association (PaHSSBCA) All-State catcher for the Cats, being selected.

Jordy, a junior, along with four of her Golden Eagle teammates were named to the NCAA Division II All-District 3 Team, which encompasses the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) and other schools.

In order for a student-athlete to be eligible, they must have:
A minimum grade point average of 3.50 or better. Position players have competed in at least 90 percent of their team’s games played OR have started at least 66 percent of the total number of team games played. For pitchers, players must pitch 35-plus innings or appear in 17 games as a pitcher.

Jordy carried a 3.72 grade point average in Nutrition and Fitness. She was named as a catcher.

She had thirty-nine starts at that position, She posted an On-Base Plus Slugging Percentage (OPS of .872).

Jordy hit six doubles, a team-high four triples and three home runs. She had twenty-two RBIs.

Jordy’s Golden Eagle teammates also on this season’s All-District 3 Team include: Speech and Audiology major Desi Allen at first base; Psychology major Emily Buchleitner at shortstop; Criminal Justice major Ainsley Perdicaris at starting pitcher; and Biology major Haylee Rimmy as an outfielder/designated hitter.
