Clarion and North Clarion Teams in their “Fight Together vs Childhood Cancer Awareness sweatshirts
The Clarion Bobcats and North Clarion Wolves volleyball teams held a special “Fight Together vs Childhood Cancer” fundraiser during their match at Clarion on Thursday, September 11th, raising $1,550 for the Ronald McDonald House Foundation to fight Childhood Cancer.
Clarion Volleyball Booster representative Deeanne Kline shared, “On Thursday, September 11, 2025, the Clarion Bobcats and North Clarion Wolves volleyball teams came together for more than just a game -they came together for a greater purpose.
“With the incredible support of our communities, school districts, and volleyball families, we raised over $2,000 in the fight against childhood cancer.
“The funds will be distributed in two ways: Donated to the Ronald McDonald House to assist families navigating theis heartbreaking disease and shared with two local families in need of support during their battles.”
According to Ronald McDonald House, “We care about the well-being of families. So back in 1974, we partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities to open the first Ronald McDonald House® in Philadelphia for families with children who were ill or injured. To this day, we stand by RMHC in their commitment to ensure families with children who are ill or injured are able to stay together and receive the comfort and support they need. In our restaurants, we help support the work of RMHC and its 260+ Chapters both in your neighborhoods and in communities around the world.”
The two other special fundraisers taking place included battling a 50/50 drawing that is earmarked for Keystone student, Gavin Blazosky whose mom Tracy is fighting the disease and a donation jar raised $227 to donate to Annabella Cornelius, a freshman volleyball player at Moniteau, which will be presented to the family at the match at Moniteau on September 16th.
Deeanna shared this word of thanks, “This would not have been possible without the love and generosity of everyone involved. Thank you for proving once again that when we unite, we make a difference.”
(Thank you to all involved in this great cause!!!! Thoughts and Prayers to the Annabella and her family and Gavin and Tracy and their family!!)
