Central Clarion Boys’ Soccer Rebounds, Keeps Punxsutawney In Check

(By Mark Bettwy)The Central Clarion Wildcat boys’ soccer team shook off Wednesday’s loss to DuBois to defeat Punxsutawney 12-1 in the Chucks’ Den on Saturday (September 13th).

Dany Schweitzer and Martin Ormeno led the Wildcats in scoring with three goals each. Brendan Bettwy and Cash Gilmore followed with two a piece and Nathan Frederick and Chance Hetrick added one.

Bettwy led the team with four assists while Frederick had two. Schweitzer, Ormeno, Gilmore and Trey Hooks all had one.

Central Clarion hosts West Shamokin at C-L High School tonight (Monday, September 15th) at 6:00 PM.
