With :58 left on the third quarter clock, Rex took the ball over the left side for a 6 yard touchdown and then ran the ball in for two, tying the score at 14-all.

The Wildcats went ahead 21-14 at 5:29 of the fourth, with Rex taking the ball in from the two, combined with Bish’s PAT.

Punxy tied it again, at 4:12 with Logan Moore scoring on a 2 yard run through the middle and Roken’s point after.

Roken scored the winning points, with a 32 yard field goal at 2:56, setting the 24-21 final.

Central Clarion coach Dave Eggleton shared these thoughts, “I’m proud of the effort our team gave tonight. Unfortunately, we made too many mistakes to overcome a very strong Punxsy team. That said, I saw a lot of growth from many of our players, and that’s something to build on.

“We’ll get back to work next week and continue pushing to get better each day.”

The Wildcats are scheduled to travel to Brockway on Friday (September 19th).

(Good game, Wildcats!!!! Congratulations to Adi, Wade and this year’s Homecoming Court!!!! Thanks to Cheryl Marshall and Susanne Fenski for their photos and to Explore Clarion for use of their broadcast for spotting and notes!!)
