Wildcats Celebrate Senior Night And Youth Wrestling Recognition

The Central Clarion Wildcats held their Senior Night and Youth Wrestler Recognition celebration on Tuesday, February 3rd.

The The celebration took place in the Clarion Area Gymnasium, between the Junior High and Varsity matches, with Redbank Valley, as the Seniors and their parents along with the members of the Youth Wrestling program were highlighted.

The Wildcats honored seven seniors (in alphabetical order): Grayson Aaron, Kullen Buzza, Drew Crompton, Jake Henry, Sam Roberts and Kord Stewart.

Grayson’s future plans include wrestling in college or working in a trade. His advice to future wrestlers is, “Practice more. Even when you think you are doing enough, do more.”

Kullen’s future plans include going to Mercyhurst University to study chemistry and play sports. His advice to future wrestlers is, “Take practice seriously. Don’t fool around.”

Drew’s future plans in construction / contracting. His advice to future wrestlers is, “The harder you work, the more rewarding this sport is.”

Jacob’s future plans include attending Waynesburg University, where he will play football. His advice to future wrestlers is, “Some days you are going to want to quit, but it is just about pushing through the pain.

Sean’s future plans include attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania to earn a degree in Cyber Security. His advice to future wrestlers is, “It’s not to late to try.”

Kord’s future plans include serving in the US Army and eventially become a Ranger. When his service is done he’ll return home and figure the rest out. His advice to future wrestlers is, “Keep showing up, working hard and having a good time.”
