Mary Washington University’s Brenna Campbell, Former Clarion Area Standout Named To Coast To Coast Athletic ConferenceVolleyball All-Tournament Team

Former Clarion Area volleyball standout Brenna Campbell, who plays for Mary Washington University, from Fredericksburg, Virginia, was named to the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team for her play in the event, held Saturday and Sunday, October 1st and 2nd, at the Freeman Center at Christopher Newport University, in Newport News, Virginia.

Brenna and her Eagle teammates went 2-1 in the tournament

They opened on Saturday, defeating the host school 3-2 (19-25, 20-25, 25-16, 25-18, 15-7). Brenna had 5 points, 15 assists, nine digs and a kill against the Captains.

The Eagles fell 3-1 (26-24, 21-25, 22-25, 17-25), to the University of California at Santa Cruz, in their first match on Sunday. Brenna had 4 points, 13 assists, a kill and five digs in the match against the Banana Slugs.

Mary Washington bounced back with a 3-2 (20-25, 21-25, 25-21, 25-16, 15-6) win over the Sea Gulls of Salisbury University, from Salisbury, Maryland. Brenna dished out 33 assists, gathered 14 digs and scored five points in the match.

Brenna is setter in Mary Washington’s 6-2 offense. The Eagles switched to a 5-1 with Brenna as the main for the Salisbury match.
