Bobcats Down Warriors To Claim KSAC Baseball Championship

The Clarion Bobcats downed the Moniteau Warriors 6-5 in eight innings in the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference’s Baseball Championship, at Stern Family Field in DuBois on Friday, May 8th.
There was no scoring through five innings. The Warriors put four across in the top of the sixth and another in the seventh for a 5-0 lead. The Bobcats knotted the game with five runs in the bottom of the seventh.
Clarion held Moniteau off the board in the top of the eighth and scored one in the bottom of the inning to secure the championshipl

Ethan Rex had two hits for the Bobcats, including a triple. He scored twice and drove in a run. Billy Kahle singled, doubled, scored a run and had an RBI.
Dylan Smail had a pair of hits and scored once.
Noah Harrison singled and had two RBIs. Wyatt Watterson had a hit and scored a run.
Derek Smail had a hit and scored a run. Kason Kiehl scored a run.

Parker Miller was the winning pitcher, going three innings in relief. He had two strike outs.
Starter Ethan Rex went five innings when he eclipsed his pitch count. He had struck out six.
For Moniteau, Ian Ross had three hits, including a double, an RBI and a run scored, and Dawson Cook singled, doubled and drove in a run.
