Softball: Wildcats Fall To Raiders
The Central Clarion Wildcats softball team dropped a 9-3 decision to the homestanding Brookville Raiders on Wednesday (April 15th).
The Wildcats scored two runs in the top of the first inning.
Kaylee Smith was hit by a pitch. Brooke Meals followed with a double. And with one out Ashlyn Clark singled to drive Smith home.
Smith then scored on sacrifice by Megan Powell.
The Raiders scored four runs in the bottom of the inning and another four in the second. Their final run came in the fifth.
The Wildcats closed out the scoring in the seventh. Sydney Youngman walked to open the inning. With one out Smith hit a double. Youngman then scored on a sacrifice by Meals.
Kayla Carlson also had a single in the second, for the Wildcats.
The Wildcats are scheduled to host DuBois today (Thursday, April 16th) at 4:00pm.
