Varsity Basketball: Lady Cats Fall To Lady Warriors (01/17/15)

The Clarion Area Girls Varsity lost a close, 46-42 game to visiting Moniteau, on Friday night (January, 16).

The Lady Cats jumped out to a 10-7 lead after one, but the Lady Warriors had a 13-6 scoring advantage, in the second period to take a four-point, 20-16 lead into halftime. Moniteau led 31-26 after three.

Maci Thornton and Lauren Wiser both hit for double figures, for Clarion. Thornton had 14 points and Wiser scored twelve. Nicki Glenn and Alexis Constantino scored 5 and 3 points respectively.

Kelly Beveridge, Anna Reed, Maddi Weaver, and Sophie Wolf each scored two points.

Kristina DeMatties, with 19 points and Steph McCall with 16 led Moniteau.

The Lady Cats are now 6 and 4 on the season. They will host Karns City on Monday.
