The event, sponsored by the Student Council, was co-ordinated by Miss Bevevino. The teams were coached by the varsity football players, who did a fine job coaching the teams. The public address/play by play/sit down (as opposed to stand up) comedy was provided by “Our Little Benny,”* Ben Babington.  Ben may have a future in sports casting or standup.

Now for the game:
The Seniors took a 7-0 lead, two minutes into the game, on a Laken Ganoe run around left end for a touchdown. (Touchdowns counted for seven points as there were no extra point attempts.)

The Juniors came back to tie the score, as time ran out in the quarter, as Lauren Wiser threw a 30 yard touchdown pass to Maci Thornton.

The second quarter saw only one score. Laken Ganoe had a 35 yard touchdown run around left end, at 2:30, to move the Seniors ahead for good, 14-7. A key play in their drive was a 30 yard pass from Haley Weaver to Bekah Nesbitt.

Senior Ashley Montgomery had a pass interception as time ran out in the first half.

Haley Weaver dazzled the crowd on the first play of the second half on a quarterback keeper, going down the left sideline for an 80 yard touchdown. The score extended the Class of 2014’s lead to 21-7.

The Seniors reached paydirt, one more time, as Kyla Miles picked up a fumble at the Juniors’ 25 yard line and raced in for the score.

Kyla would also have a big defensive play, in the third, with an interception as time ran out.

And Junior Emily Powers would get an interception in the fourth quarter.

Maci returned an interception for a touchdown as time ran out in the game, to set the final at 28-14.

(Thanks to all involved for a very entertaining night!!!)
