Bobcats and Lady Cats Post Ninth Place Finishes At City Of Hermitage Invitational, Ian Corbett Sets Meet Record (04/27/14)

The Clarion Area Bobcat and Lady Cat Track And Field Teams competed in the 15th Annual City of Hermitage Invitational, at Hickory High School, on Saturday, April 26th and the Boys and Girls Teams each came away with 9th Place finishes, in a twenty-one team field.

 

Ian Corbett and Jenn Ochs each had first place finishes. Corbett won the 100 in a Meet Record, 10.95 seconds. Ochs won the Javelin, with a throw of 112-7.5. Corbett also had a fifth place finish in the Long Jump, going 19-8.75.

Clarion had two second place winners, Julie Kenneson, in the High Jump (4-10) and Laken Ganoe, in the Triple Jump (33-10.5). Ganoe also finished eighth in the 100 (13.52).

Madison Weaver took the Bronze in the Long Jump with a leap of 15-7.5. Antonio Troese finished fifth and qualified for Districts in the 800, with a time of 2:09.66. Liam Raehsler had a fifth place finish in the 3200, running a 10:29.84. Raehsler also took seventh in the 1600, with a time of 4:56.29.

Zach Hill had a leap of 5-8, to take eighth in the High Jump.
