Corbett, Raehsler and Troese Win Gold At Oil Country Invite (05/04/14)

The Clarion Area Boys and Girls Track and Field Teams competed in a 20 team field, at the 26th Annual, Oil Country Invitational held at the Oil Field, on Saturday, May 3rd.

Ian Corbett, Antonio Troese and Liam Raehsler each had first place finishes.

Corbett won the 100 in a school record of 10.90. He also had a third place finish in the 200, running a 23.33. He actually had the fastest time registered all day, in the event, as he scorched the Oil City High School track in 22.69 in the prelims (the only sub 23 of the event). Corbett’s prelim time was his best so far this season.

Troese ran a season best 2:06.51 to take the Gold in the 800. Raehsler’s first place came in the 3200, where he ran a 10:12.59, a season best as well.

Zach Hill rounded out the Bobcats’ top ten place winners, clearing 5-09 to capture fourth in the High Jump.

Julie Kenneson was the top finisher for the Lady Cats, placing third in the High Jump, clearing 4-10.

Grace Kroh had a season best 30-09.50 in the Triple Jump, to earn fourth place.

Katie Eustice finished seventh in the High Jump, recording a 4 -04.

Both Teams will finish the dual meet season at Brookville, on Monday.
