Basketball Roundup: Bobcats 2-0, Lady Cats 1-1 This Week (01/19/19)

The Clarion Area Basketball Teams were in action on Monday (January 14th) against A-C Valley and Friday (January 18th) against Union, with the Bobcat Boys winning both of their contests and the Lady Cats going 1-1.

Bobcat Boys:

Clarion downed the visiting Falcons 72-42, on Monday. Cal German and Nick Frederick led the Bobcats with 23 points each. Jake Burns chipped in with nine.

Levi Orton led A-C Valley with Fifteen.

On Friday, the Cats downed homestanding Union 68-53.

German led Clarion with twenty-five points. Frederick added 8 points and Tijon Faulk-Taylor chipped in with eight.

Luke Bowser led Union with fourteen.

Lady Cats

Clarion lost a one point contest to the Lady Falcons, at Foxburg on Monday, falling 45-44.

A-C Valley led 15-9 after one, 27-20 at the half and 40-27 after three. The Lady Cats had a 17-5 fourth quarter edge.

Kait Constantino led Clarion with 12 points. Wendy Beveridge followed with eight.

Cami McNany had 13 points to lead A-C Valley.

On Friday the homestanding Lady Cats defeated the Damsels 64-47.

Constantino again led Clarion, with 18 points. K. K. Girvan added 16 and Beveridge chipped in with eleven.

Union’s Dominika Logue led all scorers with twenty-three.

The Bobcats and Lady Cats are scheduled to play at Redbank Valley on Monday (January 21st).
