The Clarion Area Lady Cats Volleyball Program honored four young ladies during Senior Night festivities on Tuesday, October 15th, prior to the match with Venango Catholic where they wrapped up the 2019 Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference Volleyball Championship.
Coach Shari Campbell shared her thoughts on each of her seniors’ strengths on the court, that have greatly contributed to the Lady Cats’ success.
Kaitlyn Constantino: Kaitlyn is having a great senior season. She is a true rock for this team. She has brought a level of consistency and ball control that is at the center of our success. I couldn’t be more proud of the leader she is for this team.
Maddie Schill: Maddie is such a dynamic player and is bringing a strong presence to the net, as she is leading the team in blocks by a huge margin. I am looking for that strength to be a key factor, as we move into the playoffs. Maddie brings a lot of energy to the game that fuels the team.
Kyara Girvan: KK has made ball control off of first contacts a high priority and it shows in the way this team has been able to develop it’s offense. That has also been a strength as you see her back up and set our hitters when Brenna (Campbell) digs a first ball. Her performance from the service line had contributed to the entire season.
Grace Matson: Grace has been a consistent asset from the service line. It is great to be able to rely on this when another server is struggling. She had such a commitment to the goals and is a positive driving force for the team. Everyone looks to her to bring energy and enthusiasm, which we all know is so critical in the game of volleyball.
(Congratulations to Lady Cat Seniors, Kaitlyn, Maddie, KK and Grace!!!!)
