Bobcat Boys Down Berries In KSAC Large School Match-up (12/20/19)

The Clarion Area Boys Basketball Team traveled to Cranberry on Thursday (December 19th), and came away with a 63-57 win, in a KSAC Large School Division game.

Cranberry held an 18-13 lead after the first period and 39-33 at halftime. The Bobcats had a 14-9 edge in the third and trailed by just one point, 48-47 heading to the last stanza. A 16-9 Bobcat advantage in the fourth set the final.

Three Bobcats scored in double figures. Josh Craig had 14 points, while Nick Frederick and Cal German each hit for thirteen.

Hunter Craddock just missed double figures, with nine. Beau Verdill and Skylar Rhoades each had three points.

Cranberry’s Matt McQuaide had a game high twenty-five points, followed by Cam Russell’s seventeen.

The Bobcats will next be in action in the Punxsutawney Holiday Tournament, Friday and Saturday, December 27th and 28th.
