Boys Basketball Roundup: Bobcats Down Forest Area And Venango Catholic (01/11/20)

The Bobcats went 2-0 this week with wins over the Forest Area Fires and Venango Catholic Vikings. The Cats downed the homestanding Fires 90-42 at Tionesta on Tuesday (January 7th) and the Vikings 83-29, at home on Friday (January 10th).
Clarion – Forest Area
Four Bobcats finished in double-figures, Hunter Craddock, with a game-high 23 points, Cal German with 21, Josh Craig with 16 and Nick Frederick with eleven.
The Cats led 26-11 after one, 55-18 at the half and 74-27 after three.
Christian Simko had 8 points, Kyle Porciello had 5, and Ryan Alston and Aidan Quinn and Beau Verdill had two each. The Cats had 10 three-pointers. German had 5, Craig had 4 and Porciello had one.
Frankin Meals and Noah Burke had 14 and 12 points respectively to lead the Fires.
Clarion – Venango Catholic
Cal German led the Bobcats with a game-high twenty-five points, including a three-pointer. Three other Cats also scored in double-figures, Nick Frederick with 17, Skylar Rhoades with 14 (2 treys) and Christian Simko with eleven.
Beau Verdill had 8 points, Hunter Craddock had 6 and Josh Craig had one.
The Cats led 29-11 after one, 55-18 at the half and 72-23 after three.
Andrew Burda led the Vikings with fourteen points.
The Bobcats (6-6) will visit Clarion-Limestone on Monday (January 13th).
