Sage Soldier Headbands Filling Tree In Veterans’ Park With Free Masks, Tomorrow (05/01/20)

(Images submitted) Above: Kyleigh with some of the many masks she has been making

Kyleigh Craddock owner of Sage Soldier Headbands, along with several others will be loading the Christmas Tree in Veterans’ Park, at the corner of Main Street and Fifth Avenue, across from the Courthouse, in Clarion with free cloth face masks tomorrow (Saturday, May 2nd), beginning at 10:00AM. Kyleigh secured permission to place the masks, from the County. Local attorney Christy Logue helped Kyleigh with the process to secure the permission.

Kyleigh has been making the masks at Sage Soldier Headbands, to help out during the Covid-19 pandemic. Kyleigh has donated masks to our community including the Clarion Hospital, pharmacists, nurses, nursing home staff, local small businesses and families. She has made roughly 500 masks, including the 50-plus masks to be put on the tree, on Saturday.

Depending on her stock of supplies to make more masks, Kyliegh will replenish the tree, the following Saturday, if needed.

The masks, which will be clothes pinned to the tree, include an instruction sheet, for those needing the masks (see image below):

Kyleigh got the idea for placing the masks on the tree, from a Facebook post from the Makery, in the State College area.

Great work you are doing Kyleigh and friends!!!!

Editor’s note: In recognition of her efforts, Kyleigh, who is in the Nursing Program at Clarion University of Pennsylvania, received the following message from university President Dale-Elizabeth Pehrsson:
