Two Clover Volleyball Teams Claim Titles At 2021 Flood City Challenge Titles

Clover Volleyball entered two teams in the 2021 Flood City Challenge tournament, held on Saturday, February 20th and Sunday, February 21st, at the 1st Summit Arena, at the Cambria County War Memorial in Johnstown, with both teams winning their Division Championship.

This was the first time the venue has hosted a girls volleyball tournament. Four divisions, 15U, 16U, 17U and 18U, consisting of eight teams each, were contested. The tournament host was Ridgetop Volleyball Club.

GOLD CHAMPIONS Serendipity 18U (Row 1) Brenna Campbell, Anna Butrus (Altoona), Aryana Girvan (Row 2) Coach: Shari Campbell, Bri Pierce, Raven Criscitello (Belwood-Antis), Courtney Williams (Tyrone), Adia Needham, Andrea Kiser (Altoona), Erica Selfridge, Assistant Coach: Greta Hall.

Clover’s Serendipity 18U Team won the 18U Gold Division. They finished Pool Play undefeated at 3-0, without losing a set. They were victorious over Ridgetop Navy, HVC Red and Greater Johnstown Volleyball Club.

Serendipity downed Potomac Storm in the semifinals and Ridgetop Premier in the Championship match.

Clover 15U Team won their 15U Division Championship.

After going 1-2 in matches and 3 – 4 in games, in Pool Play, against Ridgetop Premier Navy, HVC Black and Potomac Storm. Clover came back to defeat Potomac Storm in the semifinals and then defeated Invasion in the final win the Silver Division Championship.
