Baseball: Bobcats Shut Out Falcons On Slaugenhoup Two-Hitter

Cole Slaugenhoup threw a two-hit shutout, as the Clarion Area Bobcats downed the visiting A-C Valley Falcons 2-0, at Clarion County Park on Wednesday (April 28th). Slaugenhoup fanned three in the complete game victory. A-C Valley pitcher Brock Weigle also had quite a game, as he went the distance also, throwing a three-hitter, while striking out fourteen in the pitchers’ duel.

There were nothing but zero’s on the board for both teams, with the exception of the bottom of the third, where the Bobcats scored both their runs.

Tanner Miller had a single and later came around to score. Gary Matus who drew a walk, and after advancing to third, he was driven home by a single by Slaugenhoup.

Slaugenhoup also had a double in the contest.

Lane Bauer and Ryan Cooper had the Falcons’ hits.

The Bobcats are scheduled to host Union, today (Thursday, April 29th).
