Lady Cats Down Lady Lions In KSAC Softball Action

The Clarion Area Lady Cats downed the homestanding Clarion-Limestone Lady Lions 11-10, in KSAC Softball action on Tuesday (April 6th).

The Lady Cats scored two runs in the top of the first. The Lady Lions answered with three runs in the bottom of the inning. The second inning saw Clarion scoring three runs to C-L’s one, to take a 5-4 lead. The Bobcats scored one in the top of the third, but the Lions scored a pair in the bottom of the inning, and followed with a run in the fourth and three more in the fifth, to take a 10-6 lead into the sixth

But the Lady Cats scored four in the sixth, to tie the game at 10-all, before scoring another run in the seventh, to set the final.

Noel Anthony had 4 hits, for Clarion, including 2 doubles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in a pair. Jordan Best homered and singled, with 3 RBIs and two runs scored. Winning pitcher Kylee Beers, singled and doubled and drove in three runs. Brenna Campbell singled and scored twice. MaKenzie Aaron singled and scored a pair of runs. Ava Kiser and Emily Troese each scored a run. Forest had a single.

The Lady Cats are scheduled to travel to Cranberry on Monday (April 12th).
