Baseball: Bobcats Down Panthers 5-4

The Clarion Area Bobcats downed the visiting Keystone Panthers 5-4 in KSAC baseball action at Clarion County Park, on Monday (May 17th).
Both teams scored a run in the first. Keystone put three across in the top of the second to lead 4-1. But the Bobcats held them off the board the rest of the way, while scoring one in the third and three more in the fifth, to set the final.
Dawson Smail had another big game for the Cats, hitting a pair of doubles, in three plate appearances, driving in a run and scoring twice. Hunter Craddock singled and scored a run. Cole Slaugenhoup singled, drove in a run and stole a base. Ryan Alston had a hit and two RBIs. Gary Matus and Cam Lapinto each had a single.
Slaugenhoup was the winning pitcher, going five innings, striking out three, giving up four runs, just one earned, and seven hits, while walking just one batter. Slaugenhoup is now 5-0 on the season.
Tanner Miller got the save, in two innings work, striking out one and giving up one hit.
The Bobcats, 12-6 (5-1 KSAC), will host Moniteau today (Tuesday, May 18th).
