Lady Cats Down Union In KSAC Softball Action

The Clarion Area Lady Cats downed the visiting Union Golden Damsels, 16-1 in three innings, in Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference softball action, on Thursday (May 6th).

The Lady Cats led 4-1 after one, 9-1 after two and 16-1 when the game ended in the third.

Payton Simko had a big game offensively for the Lady Cats, with a home run and a double, five runs batted in and two runs scored. Noel Anthony went 4-for-4, including a double, three runs batted in and two RBIs.

Brenna Campbell had a couple of hits, drove in three runs and scored twice. Ava Kiser had a pair of hits, two runs batted in and a run scored. Kylee Beers singled drove in a run and scored two runs. Jordan Best had a hit and scored three times.

Mckenna Aaron and Emily Troese each had a single, an RBI and a run scored. Brianna Forrest singled and drove in a run and McKayla Kerle scored once.
