Balanced Attack Key To Bobcats’ Dominating Performance In KSAC Golf Mega Match 3

The undefeated Clarion Area Bobcats claimed their third straight win, in Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference Golf action, in today’s (Tuesday, August 31st) Mega Match 3, at Foxburg Country Club, with a balanced attack which saw four Cats finish in the Top 5 and another finish in seventh.

Devon Lauer led the Cats as he finished second with a 38, two strokes behind medalist Jacob Felsing of Moniteau.

McKayla Kerle finished in a third place tie with Forest Area’s Ethan Carll, with both finishing with 39’s. Two Bobcats, Avery Kline and Kameron Kerle carded 40’s to tie fifth place.

Owen Kriebel recorded a 42, good enough for seventh place. Also competing for the Bobcats was Lucas Mitrosky who finished with a 47.

The Bobcats dominated the field, as they broke 200 as a team with a 199, to finish thirty-three strokes ahead of second place Cranberry which finished with a 232.

Rounding out the Top Five in team play were Clarion-Limestone (third) with a 246, Forest Area (fourth) with a 248 and Karns City (fifth) with a 252.

The Cats lead in the Team Season Standings with 27 points, followed in the Top 5 by Cranberry (24), Clarion-Limestone (19), Moniteau (18) and Forest Area (16).

The 3-0 Bobcats will compete in KSAC Mega Match 4, on Thursday (September 2nd).
