Kameron Kerle Medals, With Devon Lauer Placing Second, As Bobcats Win KSAC Boys Mega Match 4

The Clarion Bobcats, led by Medalist Kameron Kerle won the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference’s fourth Golf Mega Match of the season, at Clarion Oaks Golf Club, on Thursday (September 2nd). The field was smaller than usual, as Moniteau didn’t compete and Karns City was unable to field a full team, due to Covid concerns.

Kameron shot a 38 to claim the top spot, with teammate Devon Lauer placing second with a 40, as the Bobcats remained undefeated at 4-0. The rest of the Top Five golfers were: Max Southwick from A-C Valley/Union and Nick Aaron from Clarion-Limestone who tied for third with 43s, and Venango Catholic’s Colin Liederbach with a 44.

Other Bobcats finishing in the Top Ten include: McKayla Kerle, in sixth place with a 46, Avery Kline who tied with C-L’s Brady Fowkes for seventh with both shooting 48, and Owen Kriebel with a 48 to tie Cranberry’s Preston Forest and Karns City’s Cloe Fritch for ninth.

Also competing for the Bobcats was Lucas Mitrosky who shot a 52.

The Cats had a team score of 219, with Clarion-Limestone finishing second with a 252. Finishing out the Top 5 were: Cranberry with a 257, Forest Area with a 283 and A-C Valley/Union with a 284.

The Next KSAC Mega Match will be next Thursday (September 9th) at Hunter Station Golf Course.
