Clarion Volleyball Downs Warren In Five Sets

The Clarion Area Volleyball Team traveled to Warren, on Tuesday (September 20th), and came away with a hard-fought 3-2 (25-13, 23-25, 37-29, 25-14, 15-18) win.

Korrin Burns led the way for Clarion with19 points (4 aces), 40 kills and twenty-six digs. Noel Anthony recorded 13 points (2 aces), 53 assists, 9 digs and four kills. Brianna Pierce scored 9 points (2 aces) and had eleven digs. Grace Ochs had 8 points (2 aces) and four digs.

Payton Simko scored 5 points, to go along with 4 digs and a pair of kills. Jordan Best had 4 points (1 ace) and eleven digs. Aryana Girvan registered 8 kills, 3 points and three digs.

The Bobcats Junior Varsity won their match in straight sets (25-22, 25-14)

Grace Ochs had 14 points (4 aces), 8 assists and seven digs. Alicyn Burford scored 9 points (5 aces). Hadley Campbell scored 6 points (3 aces), and had 4 kills and nine digs.

Gia Babington had an ace, 3 kills and two digs. Taylor Alston scored a point, while registering a kill, an assist and a dig.

Clarion will compete in the Cumberland Valley Tournament on Saturday (September 22nd).
