Lady Cats Down Venango Catholic In KSAC Volleyball Action

The Clarion Area Lady Cats downed the visiting Venango Catholic Lady Vikings in straight sets (25-13, 25-11, 25-13), in Keystone Shortway Volleyball Action on Thursday (September 9th).

Grace Ochs led the scoring for the Cats, with 13 (5 aces). She also had a kill and two digs.

Noel Anthony dished out 21 assists, scored 6 points (1 ace) and had four digs. Payton Simko scored 8 points (2 aces), to go along with 2 digs and four kills. Jordan Best had 6 points (1 ace) and three digs.

Korrin Burns had six kills, scored a point and had a dig. Brianna Pierce scored 6 points, to go along with a pair of digs. Gia Babington registered 5 points and a kill. Natalie Durish had an ace.

Hadley Campbell had four kills. Aryana Girvan recorded 3 kills and a dig. Paola Lopez and Taylor Alston each contributed a kill.

The Lady Cats Junior Varsity also won in straight sets (25-7, 25-10.

Gia Babington had 13 points (10 aces). Alicyn Burford scored 9 points (6 aces).

The Lady Cats will be in the Wilson Tournament tomorrow (Saturday, September 11th) and will travel to Redbank Valley on Tuesday (September 14th).
