Undefeated Bobcat Golfers Win Seventh KSAC Mega Match

The undefeated Clarion Area Bobcat Golfers, now 7-0, continued their winning ways with a victory in the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference’s seventh Mega Match of 2021, at Hi Level Golf Course on Wednesday (September 15th).

The Bobcats registered a 198 total, sixteen strokes in front of second place Cranberry which shot 214. Forest Area which finished third at 221, a stroke ahead of fourth place Moniteau’s 222. Clarion-Limestone rounded out the Top Five with a 236.

Devon Lauer led the Cats with a 38, good for second place, a stroke behind Medalist Dane Wenner of Cranberry who carded a 37. Fellow Bobcats, and brother and sister Kameron and Kayla Kerle each shot 39 to finish in a four-way tie for third with Forest Area teammates Zeelan Hargenrader and Kenyon Custer.

Bobcats Owen Kriebel and Lucas Mitrosky each shot 41, to tie Moniteau’s Dawson Wallace for ninth. Also competing for the Cats was Avery Kline who tied Clarion-Limestone’s Brady Fowkes and Cranberry’s Dakota Woolcock for 12th with each shooting 43s.

Bobcats’ Assistant Coach Jackie had this to say, “The Hi Level match was a good solid team performance. Hopefully we can keep this momentum going as we get ready to head to districts as a team.”

The next KSAC Mega Match will be played at Wanango Country Club on Monday September 22, 2021.
