Five Bobcats Named To 2021 Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association All-State Team, Joined By Two Panthers

The Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association has announced their 2021 Girls’ All-State Teams and the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Coaches Association (PIAA) State Class-1A Champion Clarion Area Bobcats landed five players on the Class-1A Squad.

Bobcat seniors Korrin Burns, Jordan Best, Noel Anthony and Payton Simko, as well as junior Aryana Girvan, were selected. Each are two-time PIAA State Class-1A Champions, with the Cats also winning the title in 2020.

Korrin who was named at Outside hitter, finished the season with 581 kills, 220 digs and 196 points (54 aces). For her career, Korrin registered 1630 kills, 709 digs and 668 points (207 aces). This is Korrin’s third year in a row to be named All-State.

Jordan was selected as a Libero. She amassed 197 digs, 170 points (36 aces) and 32 assists this past season. For her career, Jordan totaled 455 digs, 635 points (119 aces) and 55 assists. This is Jordan’s second straight year to be named All-State.

Noel, was named as a Setter. She recorded 914 assists, 164 digs, 35 kills and 245 points (52 aces) in 2021. For her career, Noel had 937 assists, 37 kills, 191 digs and 263 points (58 aces).

Payton, who was picked at Right Side, scored 94 points (25 aces), two go along with 148 kills, 22 blocks and 106 digs. For her career, she registered 149 points (38 aces), 214 kills, 49 blocks and 129 digs.

Aryana was tabbed as an Outside Hitter. She provided the Bobcats with 207 kills, 81 points (11 aces) and 14 blocks in 2021. In her career so far, Aryana has delivered 448 kills, 193 points (43 aces) and 73 blocks. This is Aryana’s second straight year to be named All-State.

Two other players from the KSAC made PVCA All-State this year. Leah Exley and Jozee Weaver, both from next door neighbor Keystone, were named to the Class-2A Team.

Three other District Nine players were also named. Emma Delp a Middle Hitter and Bella Gregory, an Outside Hitter, both from DuBois were named to the Class-3A Squad, and Jaydyn Brabham an Outside Hitter from Oswayo Valley made the Class-1A Team.
