Christian Simko Scores 28 As Bobcats Down Falcons In KSAC Boys Action

Led by Christian Simko’s game-high 28 points, the homestanding Clarion Area Bobcats defeated the A-C Valley Falcons 84-35, in Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference basketball action on Friday (January 7th). All told, the Cats had four players score in double-figures.

Joining Simko in double-digits, for Clarion were Dawson Smail with 14, Gabe Simko with 13 and Devon Lauer with twelve.

Clarion jumped out to a 31-19 lead after one and with a 22-9 second quarter advantage, led 53-28 at the half. The Bobcats had a 19-4 third quarter edge, for a 62-32 lead heading to the last stanza, where they outscored the visitors 12-3 to set the final.

Also contributing for the Bobcats were Deric Smail with 5 points, Aidan Quinn with 5, Ryan Alston with 4 and Bryce Brinkley with two.

Christian Simko, Lauer and Quinn each had a three-point bucket.

Alex Preston led the Falcons with fourteen points.
